Your safety is the product.
So many neurodivergent adults have been ridiculed, overwhelmed or shut out by mainstream dating and friendship apps. Here is exactly what Hiki does differently.
The mechanisms.
Plain facts, each one true today. If one ever stops being true, this page changes the same day.
A person reads every report.
Some reports also trigger automatic checks, but a human on the moderation team reviews every one.
Fakes get stopped at the door.
Screening looks for mock locations, masked IPs and reused photos. Flagged accounts can’t use Hiki until they pass ID verification.
Blocking is total.
Block someone and the conversation disappears from both sides. Report and block from the “…” next to any name.
Adults only, zero tolerance.
You must be 18. Harassment, ableism and predatory behaviour end in a ban, and where it’s warranted, a report to the authorities.
No ads. No AI. No data sales.
Hiki is paid for by subscriptions. Your attention and your data are not the product, and never have been.
The moderators are neurodivergent too.
Everyone on the team is an ND adult, working from different parts of the world so someone is around to answer.
With you in mind, we are:
Everyone ND is welcome, diagnosed or not.
Self-identified and officially diagnosed adults are equally welcome. We verify profiles so people are who they say they are, and anyone who harasses members or staff, on or off the platform, is not allowed back.
You shape what you see.
Special interests, separate matching for friendship and love, group chats with the friends you choose. Block or report anyone you are not comfortable with, from anywhere in the app.
Serious about inclusion.
Hiki supports the full spectrum of gender identities and relationships. Ableism and intolerance are not allowed.
Nobody filtered into invisibility.
Overly discriminatory filters make people invisible. Hiki suggests matches from your search settings, special interests, location and personality instead.
A community that cares.
Members here are expressive, deeply empathetic and understand how varied the ND experience is. It is a place where you can begin to safely unmask.
If something happens, it is not your fault.
No safety system is foolproof. If you have a bad experience, tell us at help@hikiapp.com and consider the support below. In immediate danger, call 911 (US and Canada) or your local emergency number.
